English poet William Cowper once said, "Variety's the very spice of life that gives it all its flavour."

Mr. Cowper wasn’t referencing ways to stay fit during the 18th century, but his quote does apply to ways we can remain on our fitness path. It doesn’t matter how many months or years you’ve been working out. Eventually, everyone hits a wall. Not literally. I mean the wall where you don’t want to look at another treadmill. Or lift the same weights. Or jog the same unchanging path you run every day. You’re bored. It happens to everyone who is active. But staying in shape doesn’t mean forcing yourself to do the same thing over and over again. We’re not robots.

The best way to mix things up in your exercise routine is by doing things that are both active and most important, fun!
