When we redesigned the Blue KC member portal a few months ago, we included a new way for members to register or recover their passwords/usernames without needing to have their Blue KC member ID card with them. This new functionality asks you to answer a handful of questions pulled from public records to verify your identity. Please follow the simple steps below on how to register or recover your password/username.

Forgot your password or username

  • On the MyBlueKC.com member portal, click the “Forgot your username?” or “Forgot your password?” links in the Member Login.
  • Blue KC Member Card
  • Click on the “another way” link in the “Don’t have your ID card?” paragraph.
  • Blue KC Member Card
  • Complete the form by entering your name, date of birth, address, and ZIP code.
  • A list of questions will be generated, based on public records. If you don’t answer enough questions correctly, you will be asked additional questions.
  • If you answer the questions correctly, you will be verified and receive your username or prompted to reset your password. However, if you don’t answer enough questions correctly, you will be directed to call for support or try again when you have your ID card.
